About Me

Hello, I'm Glenn McElroy, a local entrepreneur seeking to acquire and operate a successful company for the long term. As an experienced entrepreneur, I understand the challenging and rewarding nature of running a business. That’s why I’m excited about the opportunity to acquire a thriving local business and continue its legacy well into the future.

Over the past two decades, I’ve been fortunate enough to serve as a manager and leader in a variety of professional settings. These include providing strategic consulting to some of the world's largest hedge funds, overseeing the day-to-day operations of a data analytics consultancy, and spearheading the development and launch of an online financial research platform. Through these experiences, I’ve found that I excel at managing operations, implementing growth strategies, and automating manual processes using technology.

Originally from Hillsdale, NJ (Exit 168 on the Parkway!), I grew up in a household that valued resourcefulness, hard work, and integrity -- traits that have guided me throughout my career and ones I am eager to apply to my next business endeavor. There are a wide variety of companies that interest me and I am eager to learn more about yours!

My Business Criteria

I am looking to buy a business with roughly $3-10 million in revenue where I can put my experience and skills to work. Ideally, the business meets the following criteria:

Located in North Jersey

The business should be located in Northern NJ within a 1 hour drive from Montclair, NJ

$500k-$1.5M Profit

Business should generate between $500k and $1.5M in profits per year

10+ Years Old

The business has been operating for at least 10 years and has been consistently profitable

How It Works

Selling your business is a simple and straightforward process that takes approximately 3 months in total. Below are the steps we will take together to achieve this:

Week 1

Schedule Initial Call

We’ll use this time to get to know each other, discuss your business, and see if there’s a good fit

Weeks 2 – 4

Evaluate Business

After signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement, I will review the business’s financials and other pertinent information to determine a fair business valuation

Week 5

Deal Negotiation

Together we will negotiate the high-level terms of the deal and agree to move forward

Week 6

Letter of Intent

I will draft and sign a Letter of Intent that contains the terms we agreed to

Week 7 – 10

Due Diligence

During the due diligence period, I will confirm all relevant facts and financial information about the busniess

Week 11

Sign Purchase Agreement

We will both sign a Purchase Agreement outlining the agreed upon terms in preparation for closing

Week 12

Closing

We did it! After signing all the paperwork, you will have officially sold your business to me and in exchange receive a very large check

Week 13 – 16

Transistion Period

Generally, a seller is available during a transition period of 1-3 months post sale to guide the new owner and answer any questions that may come up
